Hiring Process Outline

 

  1. Application Forms completed, signed and returned to WGFD.
  2. Review of applications by the personnel committee and Fire Chief
  3. Interviews
  4. Tentative offer of employment
  5. Background checks
  6. Pre-employment physical/drug screen 
  7. 

Application Forms:

  • Please return the Application Forms (Employment Application, Authorization and Release form, and Background Information Disclosure form) to: Wales Genesee Fire Department, 600 South Wales Road, Wales, WI 53183.
  • The forms can also be mailed to this address: Wales Genesee Fire Department, P.O. Box 148, Wales, Wisconsin 53183.
  • Please address all applications to the attention of Chief Jezak or the Personnel Committee.

Note: For responding purposes, applicants should live or work within the jurisdiction boundaries of the Wales Genesee Fire Department. Special considerations will be given to applicants living or working outside of the area on a case-by-case basis.
